Apple Strudel

1 Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored and coarsely shredded
3 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup golden raisins
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 egg
1/4 cup milk


Preheat oven to 400 degrees

In a large bowl, mix together apples, brown sugar and golden raisins. Set aside.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place puff pastry onto the lined baking sheet and lightly roll with a rolling pin.

Place apple filling in the middle of the pastry lengthwise. Fold the pastry over the apple mixture. Seal the edges of the pastry with your fingers pinching the edges together.

Whisk together egg and milk, brush on top of pastry.

Bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
