All the Ways to Enjoy Wine This Summer (Other Than Drinking It)

Fri August 7, 2015

Wine, wine, wine: the perfect beverage for almost any occasion. Whether an elegant night out or a barefoot backyard barbeque, we LOVE drinking wine in the summer. Don’t reach for the stemware just yet, though. There are so many ways to enjoy a good Pinot or Cab that don’t involve a glass (or 2 or 3…). So, we made a list of our favorite ways to use wine in some seriously delectable ways:

Make boozy ice pops

Adding 1 or 2 cups of wine to homemade ice pops will elevate this favorite frozen treat. Throw some fresh fruit in there while you’re at it!

Try a tasty jelly

PB&Js will never be the same. This jelly is worth the time and effort, trust us.

Marinate steak

Using wine in marinades is a simple way to flavor your meat while totally showing
off your barbequing skills.

Make a unique salad dressing

No shame in making that kale salad a little more fun by adding a wine-infused vinaigrette into the mix. Surprisingly simple and your taste buds will thank you.

Enjoy a summer sangria

Red or white, sangria is easy to make and even easier to enjoy. There are plenty
of recipes out there to try but the basics are fruit, wine, citrus, club soda, shot of
liquor. Boom, done.

Cook a delicious meal

Cooking with wine isn’t anything new, but when cooking on a weeknight the wine bottle isn’t always the first ingredient that comes to mind. Making white wine sauce for a pasta dish isn’t as hard as you might think it is, and not to mention delicious.
