Cleaning Your Microwave Naturally

Thu March 19, 2015

More often than not we forget to take care of our microwaves. The door is always closed and all the yucky caked on food can go unnoticed for quite some time. If you've been avoiding cleaning your microwave try out this new method and you will ask yourself why you haven’t cleaned it this way sooner. It’ extremely simple and you most likely already have all the items you need.

What you will need:
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup hot water
1 Lemon
Microwave safe bowl

 Directions:
Microwave the vinegar and water in a microwave safe bowl for 3 minutes.  Pour the juice from one lemon into the bowl and microwave for an additional 2 minutes. Let water mixture stand in the microwave for 5 minutes; this helps let the steam loosen the food stuck on the walls/ceiling.

Use a clean towel to wipe down the inside. All the caked on splatter and food will come right off. Anything that is still stuck, just dip your towel into the water mixture and scrub the stubborn area. This method is great how simple it is and that no chemicals are used in the process.
